It fills in the missing years of Jesus’ life for the first time, as well as offering almost hour-by-hour coverage of crucial events that are only briefly reported in the Bible. These include Jesus’ family life with eight siblings, his early manhood, his baptism, the training of the Apostles (including a corps of twelve female Apostles), the circumstances of the great sermons and parables, the miracles of healing, the crucifixion, the resurrection, and Pentecost.
A Quick Summary of the Urantia Revelation
Philosophy: The Urantia text harmonizes science, philosophy, history, and spirituality through the synthesizing insights of revelation.
Theology: God is a loving divine parent whose affection far surpasses human understanding; God’s justice, love, and mercy are portrayed, in perfection, in the divine Trinity’s varied manifestations and ministries in the evolving universes of universes.
Indwelling Spirit: As a child, we each receive a mysterious gift, an actual fragment or “divine spark” of the Universal Father. This fractal of the divine within us serves as our constant companion. It guides, comforts, and challenges each of us to grow—and always works to ensure our survival, ascension, and eventual perfection in the eternal afterlife.
Cosmology: We live in a near-infinite but evolving universe containing billions of inhabited worlds similar to “Urantia” (the universe name of planet Earth); the space-time universe revolves an eternal central universe, or mother universe, that is the source of all things.
Angels: The divine plan provides for spiritual ministry to us through a dazzling array of celestial personalities; the Urantia Revelation vastly expands our knowledge of the angelic host and higher spirits, far surpassing any teaching available today.
Jesus Christ: The text purports to provide the angelic record of Jesus’s life in Part IV, including the missing years and innumerable missing teachings, including a modern restatement of his gospel as a way of living in love, forgiveness, and service; it reveals that Christ, as the Creator of our local universe, is accompanied by a co-equal divine consort named Mother Spirit.
History: Fills in vast missing gaps in evolution of life on earth, the tragic pre-history of civilization, the story of divine visitations, and the history of races of humankind.
Afterlife: After death, we continue our ascent until, in the far-distant future, our perfected souls find God in person on “Paradise,” after which we receive new assignments as finaliters.
Spirituality: Balanced living, a life of loving service, ever-deepening spiritual experience, and doing the “will of God,” all these factors lead to God-consciousness and true happiness.
